​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The Wellington Smallbore Rifle Association (WSRA)is the governing body of smallbore target shooting in Wellington and promotes the sport through six Wellington clubs.

The WSRA is the Shooting Range operator & owner.

​​​​​​​We have a long and prestigious history and have been around for over 100 years. During this time many of our members have represented New Zealand in the sport.

Smallbore rifle shooting is shot all year round - indoor in the winter and both indoor and outdoor in summer.

Rifle shooting is one of a small number of sports that almost anyone, irrespective of many disabilities, age, gender and fitness can take part in. Every person takes something different away from the sport.


Wellington target shooting clubs

There are six target shooting clubs in Wellington. All our clubs offer beginners ‘have-a-go’ evenings. These evenings are a great way to experience the sport, and give you an insight into smallbore target shooting.
